Professor with:
Department of Mathematics.

DÊNIS EMANUEL DA COSTA VARGAS received the B.Sc. degree in mathematics (2000) from the Centro Universitário de Belo Horizonte, the specialist degree in mathematics (2002) from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, the M.Sc. degree in technology (2004) from the Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica de Minas Gerais, and a Ph.D. degree in computational modeling (2015) from the Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora. He is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Mathematics, Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica de Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte, Brazil. His research domain is optimization, especially evolutionary algorithms such as differential evolution for multi-objective optimization problems. Besides solving optimization problems in different domains like structural engineering optimization, his current research interests also include preference-based evolutionary algorithms for multi-objective optimization and constraint handling techniques for evolutionary algorithms.
